New cover for Letters to Eloise

I am so thrilled that I have just received my 40th review for Letters to Eloise. I have decided that the old Kindle cover needs a make over and have gone with an idea that I originally had. Luckily, my fantastic partner had bought me some beautiful flowers the other day and they have helped out nicely! I am still debating whether to include the silhouette artwork or not, so opinions would be gratefully received!

Practise makes perfect!

Cover for charity novel 'The Subtle Art of Keeping a Racehorse.' (Working title)

Another attempt on the horse today and it's feeling a lot easier now I understand the different folds. I am getting happier with the end product. Now need to plan the rest of the cover!

New attempt (on right) compared with yesterday - progression!

Origami art - horse novel cover

Cover artwork for 'The Subtle Art of Keeping a Racehorse.'

I had a cover art idea for my new YA novel but I have realised that I need a lot more practise. And I mean a lot!

Left is my first attempt so hopefully you can already see the improvements!
I have found the instructions for an origami horse, but believe me, it's harder than it looks. I felt really clumsy making it. I also realised tonight that my origami paper is in fact not origami! It's just craft paper and too thick but good for practising with until the real paper arrives!

I have plenty of time to practise before the novel is finished (currently finishing first draft), so hopefully you'll see origami art improvements. Will keep posting updates on my cover progress!
